Wounds, scars, success

So many things cut deep.
So little heals the wounds.
So often a soul must weep.
Nearly never is it heard.

How deep is the pain?
Does your heart want to burst?
Are you caught in the rain,
Freezing from the cold?

Every cut tells stories.
Wounds turn into scars,
Scars become memories.
Memories cut so deep.

Remember those nears and fars,
They are past and future wounds.
Wounds turn into scars,
Scars become the proof.

Proof you went through,
And lived to tell the stories.
Proof you know what to do,
And you will survive.

No Gray

Could you
Would you
Want to
Need to
Love me
Hate me

God this heart
Is falling apart
Was there ever a time
I was worth a dime
Confusion is all I see
So can you tell me

Did you
Do you
Want to
Need to
Kiss me
Eat me

I need to know
Where did it go
'Cause all that I receive
Is feelings that deceive
I'm plagued by uncertainty
So won't you please tell me

There's no black and white today
Nomore simple shades of gray
I find it confusing
Everything but amusing
Confusion is all I see
So can you tell me

Could you
Would you
Want to
Need to
Love me
Hate me

Did you
Do you
Want to
Need to
Kiss me
Eat me?
